62-year-old man killed by thunderstorm lightning in Mahasarakham

Mahasarakham - Thunderstorms destroyed 190 houses in this northeastern province and a 62-year-old man was killed by a lightning later Thursday night, an official said Friday.
Sitthipol Sangiam, chief of the Mahasarakham Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, said Boonlua Kusol was hit by a lightning when a thunderstorm hit the Muang district.
Sitthipol said 130 houses in Muang district were damaged by the storm and 19 houses in Chuenchom district were also damaged by a storm there. He added that 41 houses in Yangsisurat were also damaged by a storm in the district.
