The First Army Division will deploy two companies of troops to keep security at the Aksa Road when the red shirts hold a mass rally there on Saturday.
Army spokesman Col Winthai Suwaree said the Centre for Administration of Peace and Order asked the Army to deploy troops to keep security at the red-shirt rally site.
Maj Gen Apirat Kongsompong, the commander of the division, has ordered he deployment of 300 troops to the Aksa Road as demanded by the CAPO.
