At least 22 passengers were killed when their bus slided off the road and plunged into a ravine in Lampang’s Wang Nua district on Monday.
The bus, carrying about 41 passengers, was on their way back after joining a Kathin religious rite at a temple in the district. They stopped by a waterfall before heading home in nearby province of Chiang Mai.
The rescue teams found it difficult to help the injured because of the darkness and stiff areas.
